This story evokes the Valley in its full capacity, interweaving layers and diffused territory. A project starts with a body’s capacity to interact with its direct surrounding, exploring directly on the field, feeling one’s own sense of gravity, a journey on the long run along the Seine river. On the road over a less represented section of the river, upstream of Paris between November and December 2023 with three cameras (numeric, silver and thermal). A water mill as the experimentation matrix, a place unfolding tenuous signs on the slow current. An exhibition was deployed articulating physical models in oak, rammed earth experimentations, calligraphy drawing strips, photographic works including a book and silver prints, video and slide projections. All of the materials presented originate from the project site : water, earth, clay, stone, oak wood, willow branches, calligraphy paper and photography films.
